Patient blood management (PBM) is an evidence based concept to increase patient safety. The design and implementation is best done by interdisciplinary teams. First, patients’ resources have to be conserved and optimized, for that care structures have to be analyzed and optimized.
|Perioperativebleeding.org||The project www.perioperativebleeding.org (POB) aims to provide physicians world-wide with clinically useful and most up-to-date information concerning the diagnosis and treatment of perioperative bleeding situations. This project was designed for anaesthesiologists, haematologists and allied health professionals who manage, treat or refer patients in the field of perioperative bleeding management.
|Trauma.org||Trauma.org is an independent, non-profit organisation providing global education, information and communication resources for professionals in trauma and critical care. The new Trauma.org site is split into 3 main sections: the LIBRARY which holds all clinical and educational materials; RESOURCES contains information on conferences, training and other web links, and the COMMUNITY section houses the Trauma-list, research and personal blogs.
