ROTEM is a powerful research tool, mostly in the assessment of new drugs:

• anticoagulant drugs (in whole blood or plasma)
• procoagulant drugs (including blood derivatives)
• antifibrinolytic drugs
• other drugs that may influence haemostasis (possible side effects)

ROTEM^® Analysis allows a convenient and reproduceable analysis of clot formation, clot quality, clot stability and finally its dissolution.

With the low necessary blood volume (300µl), animal experiments are possible.
